SNAILE’S MAIL NOTIFICATION TECHNOLOGY
The problem: From 2014, Canada Post decided to stop door-to-door delivery in some areas to save costs, instead placing everything in a single community mailbox (CMB). But how will people know when something has been delivered, or avoid a wasted journey if nothing is there at all? The solution: mail notification technology from Snaile, installed at the CMB and sending an alert when post arrives.

Finland’s Posti Group launched the Home Services division in May 2016 to expand its last-mile services. A specific division was created to distance the new
offering from the existing corporate structure.

International parcel delivery provider DPDgroup has produced a 360º virtual reality video that enables the viewer to experience the journey made by a parcel in first person, from collection to delivery. To experience the fully immersive experience on a smartphone, users can download the DPD VR Experience application at Android or Apple stores.
At the Smart City Expo World Congress 2016 being held in Barcelona, Spain, from November 15-17, parcel delivery solution provider Cleveron has unveiled a safe drone delivery concept. According to the company, solutions for drone delivery available today are not safe enough and put people at risk, especially children playing next to the drone’s landing spot. The Cleveron concept aims to overcome these problems.
