Document Despatch makes £200K investment in Pitney Bowes insertion technology
Hampshire-based print and mail services provider Document Despatch has invested £200,000 in a Pitney Bowes FPS Inserter with inline inkjet printing capability. The inserter is expected to process around half of Document Despatch’s annual volume of 12 million documents, including invoice and statement runs and charity sector mailings.
A fully integrated Pitney Bowes Envelope Finishing System completes the set-up, enabling Document Despatch to save time and money by printing information, including variable messages, inline, directly onto the envelope. Previously envelopes were remotely prepared, making fulfilment a two-stage process.
Document Despatch, managing director, Leigh Foster, commented: “We looked at systems from other providers but the Pitney Bowes technology provides us with the level of functionality and flexibility we need. The inline printer and matching capabilities have already streamlined processes for us and the FPS inserter provides the necessary integrity guarantee that is essential for our transactional work.”
